Interesting Facts About Gayatri Mantra

Gayatri Mantra though first appeared in Rig Veda; is included or is a part of many other mantras as well.
Females not allowed!
Females are not allowed to recite Gayatri Mantra as it is believed that doing so may create harmonal imbalance in them disturbing their mestrual cycle or over the period of time can also make them lose their feminine side and develop manly features. It is further said that in the past lacting women reciting Gayatri Mantra have reported to produce lesser milk for their infants which is not considered to be good.
The Frog Experiment
A Gayatri Mantra recording was repetatively played near a pond which had a lot of frog moving around during the mating season. Some frogs did jumped back into the water; the remaining rested on the side of the pond unmoved. These unmoved frogs were then collected and send to a labrotary for gender check and were found to be all male. The experiment was to explain that vibrations generated by the Gayatri Mantra were not good for females and a lesser intellectual living being like the frog is also sensitive to vibrations understanding and reacting to it the right way.
Do not recite it after sunset
Gayatri Mantra is meant to invoke the Sun God and hence reciting Gayatri Mantra after sunset is not considered to be good. By reciting Gayatri Mantra after sunset you are calling upon the deity (Sun God) went to rest or ineffective for that period of time.
The most important word 'tat'
The word 'tat' is considered to be the most important one in the Gayatri mantra as here 'tat' means 'the one', 'the god' or 'the one who is supreme of all'.
